01nGRND Inc. is a land management and sustainability company. The company (nGRND Inc.) holds exclusive agreements to acquire and purchase proven in-ground gold resources plus obtain exclusive long-term rights (30 to 100 years) to develop the value from alternative land use monetisation.
02The purchase by nGRND Inc. of verified proven gold resources and keeping it ‘in-situ’, in the ground, creates Preserved Gold. nGRND Inc. secure their purchased gold resources to a digital custodian creating “Preserved Gold” with immutable provenance including the transfer of the gold to the nGRND Gold Protocol treasury.
03Long-term alternative land use monetisation (30 to 100 years) The surface above each preserved site is monetised using alternative land use initiatives that are measured against ESG and SDG impact targets and tailored by feasibility studies that analyse the specific environmental, socioeconomic, cultural, and geographical characteristics to each avoided mining site. These initiatives may include such things as biodiversity restoration, rehabilitated waste (including rehabilitated gold from tailings), afforestation, regenerative farming, renewable energy generation, sustainable data centres, and many other approved long-term revenue generating projects.
04nGRND Gold Protocol distributes the value. The protocol is the blockchain layer. It is where: the gold is distributed to the Treasury on-chain; the value from above-ground activity flows to token holders through staking pools; token holders participate, earn, and govern.
05Token holders participate, earn, and govern. Token holders vote on what happens to the gold treasury (stake it, sell it, deploy it, buy back tokens with it), on protocol parameters, on reward weights, and on the major decisions that shape the network.

There are two treasuries inside the protocol. They do different jobs and are governed differently.

Preserved Gold Treasury.The gold treasury functions as the foundational natural asset layer of the Ecosystem. It provides the Protocol’s exposure to the appreciation from climate positive preserved gold to sustain the staking rewards pools.
Protocol Token Treasury.The token treasury is the protocol's own holding of nGRND Gold Protocol Tokens. It is the operating war chest.
Purpose.Ecosystem operations, partnerships, growth, future-state needs.
Governance.Use is determined by the white paper, not by token holder vote.
